Recently I attended a class with Sis. Perkins and I was truly blessed by her anointing spirit, and her knowledge of God's word. When you walk in the spirit of God, he gives you insight. When the class was over I felt empowered and blessed at the same time. I can't wait to take another class with her.
I truly enjoyed the class: A Wife's Call. The lesson was taken from the book of Esther. Sis. Perkins did an outstanding job presenting the lesson and brought out great points. We also had some activities to complete at home; listing our strengths, our weaknesses, our obstacles, and our threats. This activity was very helpful. I was able to identify some of the issues that I am facing along with some of my strengths. It's the strengths that help me realize that God has the answer and is already working things out. God had a plan for Esther and she had the right attitude to see it through. I was able to relate that story to some of my own struggles. And instead of allowing my situations to get me down or depressed. I now realize that God could be placing me in position of to help whenever the need arises.
Your Bible study sure did come at the right time! I was feeling a bit down BEFORE, but it encouraged me and inspired me to know that I truly do have a purpose in life and that God will listen when I earnestly pray. The exercises were quick. Very helpful. Eye opening. You are a Bible study teacher who knows how to speak to a woman's heart.
Your material was filled with so much substance that it was almost unreal to me. It is amazing to see someone able to capture all of the things that you may be feeling at the moment and help you to put them into perspective. Writing down my thoughts and feelings in the "Personal Reflections" allowed me to reflect on what I read and helped me to make the effort to pursue my life's purpose.
You provided an informative step-by-step guide to how we as women can realize who we are in Christ using the story of Hannah. The comparable relationship between women and lilies provides a positive and enlightening outlook we can refer to through whatever journey we are on in life.
